As a skateshoe, the original Salazar is a modern marvel. But we are in the vulc fad so this makes sense and it will also make a nice enough skate shoe. I'll just never understand how the original one, w/ nice board feel, lightweight, support, and double airbag was so overlooked. But it may be tied to the fact that Salazar was almost invisible this year. Does anyone know if he was hurt? As for this shoe, I do like the different side wall material, and that leather looks phenomenal! I wonder if there's flywire under the canvas or if they've returned to a standard heel cup. That would be disappointing.
Synth leather? Why the toe cap? I have one last question. Years ago before the omar came out i was all looking at it but i saw the red white and blue colorway and got stoked about it. But i never saw it. Anyone know what happened to them and if I could some how get a pair?
I think the vulc killed the shoe. Every skate shop's shoe section is 90% WHITE SOLE'S!! I know vulc's are grippy and shit, but c'mon. A company that has such powerful sole compounds/designs should look outside the box, like they did with the first Omar sole (even though it was almost always white). Step outside the box, do ONE season that isn't 60% vulcanized. This shoe looks like a 6.0 Mavrk
Better than the ogs I would still not buy them unless they where on sale for like 30$. I'll just stick to my blazers for skating. And someone said " we were in a volc sole fase" when the fuck havnt slatted been into volc sole. Hahaha chill wit that duddee
Nike wasted allllllll that money on that retarded outerspace sole, just to have people realize how gay and shitty to skate it was. Just to switch it to a vulc. Hopefully it isn't the Vrod sole. Those are made extremely cheap.
