No, R-Dilla, it's not the same.
Pros tend to skate different boards then what they sell, the Girl team for sure does that. Their boards are usually flatter. They don't sell those boards because they tend to break faster. Do your damn research.
haha pros definitely skate the same boards that are sold in a skateshop. why would anyone want a flatter skateboard. i have been to plenty of demos and met a ton of pros personally there was nothing differnt about there deck vs the one on the shop wall. i take it you dont skate. the only reason people might think pros are skatin diffrent boards is because they usually get the products before they get released to the shops. one of the perks of being sponsored
Some pros do ride flatter decks generally the older ones who grew up skating in the '90s when decks were wide flat and wheels microscopic. So yes some girl pros would prefer that... Mariano, Koston, Howard, Carroll etc... My point was that their product is not better, I could give a shit if they skate shittier blank decks with "old school" flat shape, and they break a little better. and I know all this because Im 25 and have been skating for over 13 years, and also own a skate shop. But ill do more damn research for ya kook!
pros usually have custom shaped decks made specific for them that arent available for retail. ex. is brian anderson, his boards are almost 9 inches wide cause of his size, so girl produces custom shapes for him. i dont think the product is necessarily better but custom made to the liking of the pro.
For those of you who think cory kennedy isn't pro material, take a look at all the less popular pros. There's some i haven't even heard of. Cory was an AM and was more popular than most pros. You don't have to have a full video part out to go pro either.
