The upcoming March Nike SB Quickstrike are another beer inspired Dunk Low, just in time for St.Patricks Day. Named the "Black and Tans" by the shoes designer Patrick Smith (@evilonelive on Twitter). The Black and Tan is a famous drink that in America but is held offensive in Ireland as it references the infamous military unit who happened to kill many civilians, including children in the 1920's.
UPDATE: The tweet has since been removed from the @evilonelive account, as this is making press rounds in the news, Nikes response is it "is an unofficial name" however an image cache can be found here - http://imgur.com of the shoes designers reference to the sneaker.
This isn't the first time an ill reference has been dubbed in a Nike SB design, you may remember the heavens gate dunk which referenced the famous cult who killed themselves in Nike Cortez sneakers with purple drapes.
