Back in April 1976 the Apple I was released in the general retail market with 8k of Ram and a keyboard, the technology was one of the first computer models marketed as the consumer in home standard. Fast forward into the early 1990's, Apple has made leaps towards the future developing new technologies and consumer goods. Apparently sneakers were not out of reach for the super company, although info is pretty vague, it's evident that in the early 90's Apple had a batch of sneakers made up for their employees.
Details show embroidered Apple logos's with the brand name on the side wall, the tongues feature the full color embroidered iconic apple logo as well.
The shoes show no branding other than Apple icons and name, It's apparent that Apple commissioned a company to make these special signature shoes just for them. The sneakers feature air sole technology which is incorporated in the heels, the uppers are all White leather with identical accents on the mid and outsoles.
Were these sneakers the brain child of Mr Jobs himself ? Did the brand toy with the idea of venturing beyond what the world knows them for best ? These are questions that may be fun to ponder, but highly unlikely to ever have a true definitive response.
It seems from time to time the iconic sneakers pop up on various markets including but not limited to eBay.
If your a Cult of Mac follower or a rare sneaker fanatic, you might find yourself having a bit of fun hunting around for a pair for yourself.
