Nike SB UK pro rider Neil Smith is currently on a forced break from skateboarding as a result of a fractured foot, but this allowed time for Jake from Slam City to sit down with him for an interview.

Nike SB UK rider Neil Smith has been made a pro for Blueprint Skateboards. The UK company announced the news via its Twitter feed and released pics of Neil's pro decks, bearing the three swords found on the shield of his native county Essex. This was presumably the reason why several of the Blueprint team, which shares several members with the Nike SB UK squad, were seen sipping celebratory drinks outside Slam City Skates (where these photos were taken) earlier this evening. Congratulations to Neil.

'Make Friends with the Colour Blue' is the latest DVD from British skateboard company Blueprint. The film features Nike SB UK riders such as Colin Kennedy, Neil Smith and Jerome Campbell.
