As ever, a proposed new skatepark is always worth championing. The City of Bethlehem Parks Department is looking to build a
world-class skateplaza in the Pennsylvania city.
The scheme stands a chance in getting a $250,000 boost if it gains enough votes in the
Pepsi Refresh Project.
The 750ft-long, 40,000 sq. ft park is aimed to cater for up to 200 skateboarders and BMXers of all abilities every day. The total cost will be $1.3 million, with the 250K going towards the completion of stage two.
The top two projects in the Refresh scheme will get the cash, and the Bethlehem skateplaza is currently ranked fourth. Visit the
Bethlehem skateplaza page to find out more, see a simulated 3D tour of the park and, most importantly, register your vote.
