ARMANDO DE LUNA / SAN

by Dave Thomas

Armando De Luna / SanEmail: san@nikeskateboarding.org Global Moderator and Hella GOODZ Yeeee, born and raised in the beautiful Napa Valley since 1985. Graduated High School and jumped into the Wine Industry. When it comes to work I'm fully involved in the wine making process once it leaves the vines it's my job to make the best of it. If you keep track of the seasons come harvest time I'm usually MIA, haha. I also help out Boardgarden my local skate shop from time to time (Tell them I sent you for a discount.. doesn't hurt to try!). Last but not least I do freelance graphic design, photo manipulation and touch ups is what I tend to enjoy the most. For fun you can catch me on Xbox Live(san0r) or in the NSB Chat with all the regulars in there... I also enjoy going out, they don't call me Mr. Hella Hyphy for no reason... But we can save that for another time. Coming from Napa, there's a lot of wealthy family's out here and that meant their kids got anything they wanted. Seeing new releases and rare sneakers on a daily basis in middle school fascinated me. Being that my pockets weren't so deep then, I didn't realize I was obsessed with sneaker culture till I started making my own money. I remember looking through the Eastbay catalog cover to cover and being excited whenever a new one came in. Thankfully my parents spoiled me here and there until I started getting my own payslips. The first pairs I can remember picking out myself were some Indoor Soccer Nikes that after searching for a while online I can't find anymore. Then there was the Jumpman Pro Strong(White/Navy) and Carolina XIV' Lows, so that's where my obsession with XIV's comes from. I remember seeing Nike SB for the first time in store, it was the first time I bought more then one pair of shoes in one stop. Tweed Highs and Ostrich Lows, from then on I was hooked. Not really knowing anything about what I just bought, but buying them because I liked them. I hit the web to look into what I had stumbled upon and it led me to Sole Collector and from there I clicked along through to Nikesb.org. Signed up on both forums the same day, but the smaller tight knit community of NSB swayed me to become really active on the forums and got me into the position I am now. I started in the Jordan and Non-Nike Forum area and as time passed I picked up the BST Forum and eventually access to all the forums. On a side note I contributed the biker face and the No Jomo movement . This forum has grown so much since I've joined up and it's nice to know something you played a hand in has helped out so many people. It went from faceless names, to friends, to family and it keeps going strong! Come out to the bay and the NSB community will welcome you with open arms, don't be shy! Yadidimean! Shoe size: 11/11.5 Grails: Jordan XIV Mid Tar Heels PE's. Adidas 35th Consortium Foot Patrols. P-Rod1's Anything I don't have. Other sites I frequent... strictlyfitteds.com/blog bennygold.com corgishoe.wordpress.com/ hypebeast.com ctothejl.com break.com cnn.com YouTube.com(Untill they took down homebirths) And can't forget nikeskateboarding.org/chat.php
