Stretching my careless youth a bit by slacking my higher education. On the side I work retail and have a website with some friends where we make videoreports of stuff we like. I also am co-founder and -owner of Lacebag, the biggest sneakerrelated forum in the Netherlands. I mess around on skateboards (I suck though) and am about to get a single speed bike. I have coached basketball for quite some time and did some hiphop journalism, but I've moved on from both activities. As a kid I became interested in basketball because of the cool logo's (back when Starter was all the rage) I lived in a small town where there was 1 small sports store that didn't have a really interesting collection, but on the playground I was always looking at what the older kids were wearing, those that wore basketball shoes had some sick Nike and Cons. Started playing hoops myself and got more into the shoes on the court as well. After that skateboarding came into my life. My parents didn't want to spent too much money on shoes, so when I started pulling in money myself I was finally able to get stuff I really liked. First pair of SB's were the Homers wich I found in a skateshop that I didn't frequently visited. Ever since then shoes have become more than just something interesting I tried other shoe related board before but the lack of knowledge and like-minded people always made me look for something better. The fact that skateboarding was a big part of this site since it started made me feel right at home. After some time I climbed in the ranks and hold it down as the only European in the crew. You'll mostly see me posting in the Skate, Other SB, Non-Nike and Europe sections. I try to provide answers and info to people and kill spam as soon as I see it (living in a different timezone has it advantages, those spammers love to work during odd hours) This site has brought me a lot, from hook-ups to personal contacts with some really cool people, and I hope other enjoy it as much as I do.
